Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Tax Accountant specializing in Sales and Use Tax for our rapidly growing technology company. This role is an integral part of our finance team and will oversee all aspects of sales and use tax, including compliance, reporting, planning, and audits. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of tax regulations and will be responsible for ensuring that our company adheres to all relevant tax laws and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of sales and use tax, including compliance, reporting, planning, and audits.
- Prepare and file all sales and use tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax savings opportunities.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's financial goals.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, including tax provision calculations.
- Coordinate and manage audits by tax authorities.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff on sales and use tax matters.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate any changes to the relevant teams.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a tax accountant role, with a focus on sales and use tax.
- Proficiency in Sage or equivalent accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of sales tax and use tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in the technology industry is a plus.
