Position Title: Web Developer & Performance Analyst
Location: Howard County (Remote/Hybrid/On-site)
Department: Technology & Development
Reports To: PgM
Employment Type: Full-Time (60 day with possible follow-on)
Salary Range: $TBD

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Web Developer & Performance Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role requires a combination of advanced web development skills and a deep understanding of performance optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications while analyzing and improving their speed, scalability, and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Conduct performance analysis of web applications and implement optimization strategies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot website performance issues, ensuring fast load times and optimal user experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and product managers, to deliver seamless and efficient web solutions.
• Implement best practices for responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
• Utilize tools such as Google Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and New Relic to assess and improve performance metrics.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
• Stay updated on the latest web development trends, tools, and performance optimization techniques.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to web development and performance analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in web development with a focus on performance optimization.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript , and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js .
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques, including lazy loading, code splitting, and caching strategies .
• Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or PHP is a plus.
• Familiarity with database management and SQL .
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git .
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines .
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics tools .
• Understanding of web security principles and data privacy regulations.
• Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) .
