Job Description

Wet Planet is looking for experienced Photographers, as well as those who are still developing their photographic skills! The photos and visual stories created by our photographers are so appreciated by our guests, as well as our marketing team. Your work makes it possible for our guests to proudly share their adventures with the world! You take pride in finding the perfect shot, and for new photographers, it’s a great way to gain experience, hone your craft, and build a portfolio in outdoor photography. Whether you aspire to build a successful career as a photographer, or simply enjoy taking photos as a hobby, this is the job for you! As a photographer you are part of the Base Operations Team, and will help drive trip shuttles while getting to your photo spots. At times you will also help guests in the retail store, prepare espresso drinks, and of course share the awesome photos you took after each trip, giving guests the perfect memento of their trip! This is a great entry-level position for anyone who wants to work in the Outdoor Industry as a photographer or in retail. You’ll enjoy working with an exceptionally fun group of people with a passion for the outdoors, and have ample opportunity to get out on the river! Wet Planet Each year, many of our guests and team members return to enjoy the abundance of beautiful rivers we raft and kayak in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Our headquarters is located on the banks of the White Salmon River in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, surrounded by a whitewater paradise and an incredible community of boaters. It's the perfect location for raft guides and kayakers (and those interested in learning) to work and play in the Pacific Northwest. Qualifications & Experience: Experience handling a digital SLR or mirrorless camera. Canon and Sony preferred but not required. Must have a Driver License in good standing. Ability to drive manual (stick shift) preferred. Providing great guest service comes second-nature to you; you’ll enjoy helping guests in the retail store when selling photographs. Experience and desire to work in retail and interacting with guests. Professional appearance, great communication skills and team player. Current Washington Health Department Food Handler certification prior to start date. Availability: Positions available for full season (April-September), or peak season (mid-June through Labor Day Weekend). Full-time: 4 to 5 days a week. Part-time/weekends: Friday-Sunday. Wet Planet Perks: Access to free trips and courses, and discounted professional training. Cross training for other job areas & opportunities within Wet Planet. Discounts on food, drinks, and merchandise in the Wet Planet store and espresso bar. Industry Pro Purchase program. Free rafting and kayak courses for friends & family, pending availability. Accrued Sick Leave. Retirement plan after two years of employment. Compensation: Hourly, $18-20, based on experience. Combine your desire to play outside with your professional skillset and experience – join our team! #J-18808-Ljbffr Wet Planet Rafting Inc
