JOB TITLE: Copy Editor, Branding Iron newspaper
JOB PURPOSE: Provide editing, proofing and page design supervision of newspaper copy before publication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Edit all copy prepared for composition.
- Design and paginate pages for newspaper.
- Proof all copy after composition.
- Meet daily with editor or managing editor for consultation and assignment.
- Maintain regular office hours as assigned by copy desk chief.
- Other duties as assigned.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Full-time student
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Ability to maintain irregular hours, including evenings 3-10 pm.
- Must be available Aug. 21 and 22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for training.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Prior newspaper production, including writing, proofing and editing
- Thorough knowledge of AP style and BI style
