Position Title: Patrol Officer Class D
The City of North Ridgeville is establishing an eligibility list for entry-level Patrol Officers. Applications and scores will be accepted from December 2, 2024, to February 17, 2024. To be considered, candidates must complete the NTN exam, Public Safety Self Awareness (PSSA) test, and submit a City application, which is available online. Physical agility certificates will be accepted until February 17, 2024, to accommodate participants of the February 16th Tri-C Agility Exam.
Salary Information:
Starting salary: $71,281.60 (2025)

Requirements:
U.S. citizenship
English proficiency
Age: 21-45
Valid driver's license
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Passing grade for Physical Agility Testing (certificate must be uploaded or emailed)
Extra Credit for Written Test:
Military service:
15% for completed entry-level training
20% for honorable discharge
College transcript: 5 points
OPOTA certification: 2 points

Computer Voice Stress Analysis
Psychological examination
Physical examination (as determined by the Police & Fireman's Disability & Pension Fund)
The City covers the medical examination fee.

Perform activities like climbing, lifting, carrying, running, pushing, and using force
Endurance for extended physical exertion
Proficiency with equipment such as firearms, handcuffs, radios, vehicles, batons, safety gear, and more
