Fleet Project Manager Location Lathrop, CA : What to Expect

The Fleet Project Manager (FPM) provides critical support to Tesla's Global Fleet Operations. This role will assist with sourcing, dissolution, and lease portfolio management of a diverse fleet of vehicles and support equipment. The FPM has skills in process development, inventory management, vendor management, plus the ability to communicate status within the Fleet Team and other Tesla departments. As part of Tesla's Logistics Department, the FPM reports to the Fleet Manager and should have a background involving vehicle procurement, remarketing and/or fleet coordination. What You'll Do

  • Develop and coordinate project activities, develop real time dashboards and timelines visible to management.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to select appropriate vehicles based on operational requirements and budget constraints
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for inspections, permits, and licenses
  • Collect and analyze data related to fleet performance, including fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and utilization rates
  • Generate regular reports to provide insights into operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate with external suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of vehicles.
  • Implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and overall performance.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, work experience with evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent
  • Advanced/Proficient Computer Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high growth environments
  • Manage strong communicational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Strong team player and committed to teamwork in all situations
  • Understanding of the automotive industry, dealer and service provider business processes, vehicle systems and technology, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis
