JOB TITLE: Director of Information Technology (Mini CIO) LOCATION: Santa Monica, CA 90010 HYBRID/ONSITE: want local people. SALARY RANGE: $170 – 270K (DOE) Sweet-spot under $200K JOB STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO: CFO

SIZE OF STAFF TO MANAGE: 25 in IT and growing

SUMMARY:

Looking for a Director of IT to be responsible for overseeing the organization’s internal IT operations, ensuring they align with corporate objectives. The Director of IT manages the company’s technology infrastructure (networks, data centers, etc.) and the IT services that support business operations and service delivery. This includes responsibility for ensuring the integrity, availability, security of data and IT systems, cybersecurity, compliance with regulations, and data privacy standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides expert guidance, direction and leadership in regard to a company’s selection and use of technologies. Leads an organization’s IT function. Determines long-term needs and pursues purchases and contracts that will aid in accomplishing business objectives. Responsible for budgeting, strategic planning and forecasting. Reports to the Chief Technology Officer. Manages others. May require an advanced degree in a related area with at least 10 years of IT experience.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE):

10+ years’ experience and/or bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills a must. Excellent project management skills. Demonstrated strategic mindset with an emphasis in IT.
